Asian Evenings of the Center for Asian Studies

Related pages

The Center for Asian Studies launches a series of “Asian Evenings” at the Faculty of International Relations in cooperation with Mr. Tomas Stingl (E15, magazine Czech Export).

At the first meeting (October 13, 2016, from 6:00 pm, RB 211) you can look forward to a narration about Myanmar/Burma.

The goal of the Asian Evening series at FIR is to picture interesting Asian countries that are usually not being focused on in University lectures. Emphasis will be placed on the economic situation and social problems of those countries. Many other context topics will be looked at as well.

The Asian Evenings will be moderated in the winter semester 2016/2017 by Mr. Tomas Stingl, a journalist active in economic and travel journalism. At present time he works for the daily journal E15 and the entrepreneurs magazine Czech Export. Among his favorite countries and regions belong mainly Latin American and East Asian countries.

In coming months you can look forward to Asian evenings focused on:

India - November 10, 2016 (6:00 pm)

Vietnam - December 8, 2016 (6:00 pm)
